Concentric Jazz Control Plate with Series Parallel Switches based off our Concentric Jazz Bass Control Plate now with the option of one or two serries/parallel switches. Each switch will give you Series when the switch is oriented towards the neck, and Parallel when oriented towards the jack. It is important to note that with a single Series/Parallel switch only the Neck Volume Control will be active when in Serries. This will control the volume of both pickups, when you return to Parallel both volume controls will be active.
Concentric controls for bass give you a wide range of tone options. Being able to contour the volume and tone of each pickup individually, offers an opportunity to sculpt your own tone to your discretion. Enabling you to really dial in the bass tone needed for the track or for defining your own sound.
This is our very modern take on the original 1960-62 Concentric Controls used on the Fender Jazz Bass. Using Alpha concentric pots, orange tone drops, a switch craft jack & Teflon insulated wire. All wired and soldered by hand in Tennessee, USA by bass players that understand the quest for tone.
A Tone Merchants pre-wired concentric control plate will add tonal dynamics that your current Vol, Vol, Tone controls does not offer. Now with the ability to put your pickups into Serries or Parallel at the flick of a switch.

How to Install a Concentric Control Plate for Jazz Bass

What a simple but effective upgrade to the standard US jazz tone setup. The concentric knob control options for each pick up allows for a unique blend and a good range of classic jazz tone options. The additional series vs parallel switching gives the sound either a darker growl or crisps up the sound for a cleaner tone. The look is amazing as well. Stylish sleek mirror finish keeps it feeling modern but the vintage feel is awesome. Easy to install and built to last. Great product!
