I understand that not everyone wants to do their own installation or modification that they have in mind, preferring the safer set of experienced hands to set everything up for them.
Tone Merchants offers full installation of pickups, wiring kits and preamps into your bass or electric guitar. All work is charged on an hourly rate and each job can slightly vary in time needed.
We are based on Auckland’s North Shore and welcome you to book a time to go over what you would like to do. Installing of pickups, wiring kits and preamps can usually be completed within a week.
More complex mods or builds may need some more time.

The concentric knob control plate was simple to install, looks amazing on the US Fender and with the series/parallel switches my tone control is spot on. A slick and stylish vintage look and an even better sounding jazz bass.
