La Bella Strings are one of the oldest and most well known brands of strings for Electric Guitar and Bass.
Starting waaay back in 1913, brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari left their family string making business in Italy to carve their own future in New York. Initially working from their apartment, their strings quickly became well known for their quality amongst local musicians in the area. The brand name “La Bella” was then first used in 1927 for their line of orchestral strings. Later becoming the brand name for all strings made by E. & O. Mari Inc. In fact E. & O. Mari Inc remains one of the oldest incorporated family owned music string manufacturers in the world.

Matthew Berg28 April 2024After doing plenty of hunting for a replacement bridge for my Rickenbacker bass i stumbled across Tone Merchants. The communication back and forth while i waited for the import to arrive was great.... Prompt shipping to me in Australia at a very reasonable cost! The tone, playability and most of all functionality of this upgrade is second to none. 10/10. It's just like a cup of Dilmah - "Do Try It".

Matt Harvey14 March 2024Legendary. Great advice from Brad regarding modding options aswell as a wicked service in the explanation as to what each can do for your tone. The concentric knob control plate was simple to install, looks amazing on the US Fender and with the series/parallel switches my tone control is spot on. A slick and stylish vintage look and an even better sounding jazz bass.
