Nordstrand NP4-A Pickup

Nordstrand NP4-A is the product of the Nordstrand’s original angled pole piece design. Fused with the simplistic yet throaty and aggressive tone inherent to the P-bass style. Tone Merchants TBX Wiring Harness for P Bass

TBX P Bass Wiring Harness complete with genuine Fender TBX tone pot. This is the Tone Merchants modern take on the classic 1980’s TBX wiring made famous by Duff McKagan of Guns n Roses.

Made with high quality components including a genuine Fender TBX tone pot. An orange tone capacitor and ceramic tone capacitor both 0.47u. A switch craft output jack and Teflon insulated wire. This is our modern day take on an 80’s classic found in the made in Japan Fender Boxer series.

What is TBX wiring?

Traditional tone pots give you a range from 1-10. A TBX tone pot will give you a treble and bass boost while remaining a completely passive instrument.  Your standard tone control goes from 1-5 and from 6-10 is where the TBX kicks in. Giving you more treble and bass to your tone. The Fender TBX tone pot is stacked and dented so you can feel when changing over from your standard tone control in the 1-5 range, through to the treble and bass extender in the 6-10 range of your tone pot. This decreases resistance, sending more bass, treble, presence and output to your amp.

Copper Shielding

I’m a big believer in shielding both your pickup cavity and the cavity for your controls.  It takes very little time and just give your new upgrade the best chance of zero interference and any irritating noise that you do not want.  I include 1 x A4 Sheet of our Copper Shielding with every upgrade pack.
