Fuchs FBT 300 Bass Amp

Fuchs FBT 300 Bass Amp has been inspired by the iconic SVT © bass amps, but with Andy’s enhancements from years on working on them. Despite weighing over 35kg, the infamous SVT © amps have become a benchmark & one of the 3 pillars for tube bass tones. Andy’s design challenge was to get that awesome tube amp response and feel, but at a more manageable weight and size. By using the iconic Ice power modules and a truly unique hybrid tube/FET preamp running a switch mode power supply at a full 300 volts, Andy was able to do exactly this in a remarkably small size and lightweight package.

Clean Tune Tones to Dirty Filth

Fuchs FBT 300 Bass Amp is very loud and very clean. Just like it’s inspiration. Want total clean, lower the input gain and raise the master. Want some dirty tube tones? Raise the input gain and lower the master volume. They are super easy to operate, and the  Fuchs FBT 300 Bass Amp will easily fit in a gig bag, run ice-cold, and feature a well thought out, simple configuration for the working bass player.

5 Band EQ

Fuchs FBT’s feature an input gain control allowing both passive and active bass use, Baxandall high and low controls, a parametric 5-way stepped midrange control with level and frequency control and an output master volume. With the midrange pot in the ‘0’ position the circuit is flat. In this mode the bass and treble pots emulate the classic B-15 amps we know and love. Use the mid circuit for boost and cut of up to 20 db at a choice of 5 frequencies.

Fuchs FAT 112 Bass Cab

Fuchs FAT 112 Bass Cab is the latest in line up from Andy Fuchs. A ported single 12″ cabinet, this one has a Ferrite Ceramic speaker. At an unbelievable 12.5kg with Ceramic Speakers, it’s 94db efficient, handling 500-Watts. Making this a light weight beast of a bass cabinet!

Extremely compact 16″ x 16″ x 13.5″ deep, with a single tuned rear port, internal acoustic treatment, a metal powder-coated speaker grill with Fuchs logo, dual Neutrik Speakon and ¼” (combination jacks), and feature Penn-Elcom hardware throughout. Molded plastic locking corners allow for stable stacking, while a recessed steel handle is top mounted for easy one-handed transport.

Made of an ultra-light 11/16” Plywood with an Italian poplar core and birch jacket, and they are coated in a rugged, textured sprayed black latex coating which will not crack, peel, or require replacement or repair like conventional Tolex does. The cabinets are fully corner blocked and braced to eliminate stray resonances or vibrations, even at the most extreme sound levels.

Fuchs FAT 112 Bass Cab Light Weight, High Output

The Fuchs FAT 112 Bass Cab ceramic cabinet is 94db efficient and handles 500-Watts. The cabinet is equipped with the new Celestion Pulse-12.20 bass driver with a Ferrite Magnet a 2-inch copper voice coil on a Polyimide form with a Cellulose cone and a cloth surround. 32-2200 frequency response, 8-ohms and weighs 12.7kg!
