Nordstrand Mustang Bass Pickup uses Carey Nordstrand’s proprietary angled pole piece design. This pole design provides the player with the largest coil possible and maximum amount of throaty tone. Although these pickups may appear tiny and totally harmless, the tone that flows from the diminutive bass that serves as their vessel will emerge fat, warm, and practically snarling. Think of all the best characteristics of a P-Bass, carry that image over to the Mustang, snicker in disbelief that such a bass could ever deliver a viable excuse for massive tone—turn the amp on, feel the power, and let your fingers rage with the guilt of not having faith in the NM4’s outrageously provocative punch. The Nordstrand Mustang Pickup will provide true-blood vintage tone that simulates all the best aspects of the standard P with an added dimension of darkened mids and an aggressive grind.
**Note The NM4 is made for the Japanese reissue Mustang Bass with larger covers. If you have an original Mustang Bass, or newer with smaller covers, contact us to ensure you get the correct size.
