Aria Pro RSB Bass like you will never find again. This lovely bass in my opinion, is from Aria Pro’s greatest time of making instruments. I don’t know what it was, but in the early to mid 80’s Aria made some of the coolest basses and electric guitars with really “out there” wiring & controls. Giving you some tone shaping options that you still will find hard to get from many modern instruments.
I purchased this bass with a big project in mind, knowing how cool these are. The body had sticker marks, sun damage and a few bumps and bruises. So it has been completely re-finished in Magenta Sparkle! We digitally scanned the original logo on the headstock and re-made the decal, applying before putting on the final clear coat. It had no tuners, so now has USA Hipshot Ultra-lights. Then strung with new La Bella nickel rounds 45-105.
The Aria Pro RSB Bass was made at the famous Matsumoku plant in Japan in the early to mid 1980’s. With completely passive wiring, you are able to control the tone and volume of each pickup with concentric, stack control knobs. You then also have two switches. The first one is for the neck pickup with Series/Parallel and the bridge pickup has a coil cut stitch. Giving you both single coil and humbucker tones for the same pickup. You can spend an enormous amount of time dialing in a wide range of tones. And if that’s what you are into, this is a lot of fun!
