Fernandes Modified P Bass

My Fernandes Modified P Bass is up for grabs! A 1984 Fernandes P Bass that’s been heavily modified into what I had in my mind as the ultimate passive PJ configuration. To achieve this in went Nordstrand Np4-A P Pickups and a Nordstrand Big Split Pickup routed into approx. the 60’s bridge position.  The Big Splits are the hum-cancelling version of the Big Singles that are often regarded to as Jazz pickups on roids, and that would be an accurate description of these bad boys.

To get the very most out of these two amazing pickups I have installed the Tone Merchants Concentric Wiring Harness. This gives you Volume (top) and Tone (bottom) controls over each pickup using stacked knobs.  Making this a totally unique bass that i just don’t think you will find one like ever again.

I wanted a “relic’ look and there’s nothing as authentic as a real relic. So that was a big reason for me to not use a new bass body or kit set for this project. It comes with all the Mojo you can only get from a 40yr old bass.
