Tone Merchants NTMB Preamp

Tone Merchants NTMB Preamp came about from teaming up with Bartolini to pursue a dream of mine. To create my own drop in, onboard 3 band preamp for bass guitars. This is the same layout as my Tone Merchants NTMB Onboard Preamp, but as a harness. To suit basses that may not have a need for a control plate. Or that have their 4 control knobs not aligned in a row.

All hand wired here in Auckland, New Zealand using a Bartolini NTMB-F Preamp (preamp is made in the USA). With high quality Alpha Pots, I have put together what to me is one of the most functional & musically useful preamp configurations, while staying withing the restrictions of a 4 knob layout.

Tone Merchants NTMB Preamp Features:

• Bartolini NTMB-F USA made preamp.
• Volume neck control with a Push/Pull, Active/Passive pot.
• Volume bridge control.
• Mids with Push/Pull frequency shift.
• Stacked Treble & Bass
• Stereo Jack
• New 9V battery thingie, with the option to add a second one for a 18V power supply.
• Hand wired in New Zealand for bass players around the world.

Gain Control

• The in-cavity gain trimmer lets you adjust the output level of your instrument. This lets you match output levels from several instruments for consistent response from level-sensitive effects
• Gain: 0-12dB

Mid Control

• Thicken or thin your tone with mid control. Mid boost lets you cut through the mix, and mid cut provides great slap tone.
• Mid: +/-13dB@250Hz

Treble Control

• Boost or cut your high frequencies to brighten or darken your tone. The NTMB+F gives you a wide control range for an aggressive or mild voice.
• Treble: +/-18dB@10KHz

Bass Control

• Boost or cut your low frequencies up to 5 times the flat signal. The bass frequency is great for E, B, and low F# strings.
• Bass: +/-15dB@30Hz

All orders are sent from the Tone Merchants store in Auckland, New Zealand on a track and trace service.  Arriving to Australia within 5-7 days & 10-14 days for customers in the USA, UK and Europe.  Once the order is packed and ready to send. You will receive an email notification that your order is on the way along with a link to the tracking.

If we run out of stock, or the item is listed as on Backorder. It will take 2 weeks to complete your order and dispatch to you. You should expect to hear from me within 48hrs on placing the order to confirm this.
