Andy Fuchs long career in music and electronics is well known. From the small workshop started in his dad’s music store basement, to working on NYC’s famous “Music Row” 48th street in Manhattan, to working at many service companies around NYC, Andy has seen and serviced gear for many artists worldwide. He has worked (and still works) as a professional musician since his first gig with his dad at 17 years old, and through that, began building and modifying his own guitars and amps. After a successful career in technical sales and in systems integration and fire alarm systems, Andy returned to building and servicing amps in his home shop. Thanks to the internet, word spread and the business soon thrived and moved out of the house. Today Fuchs Audio is in an awesome 1920’s factory building in Clifton New Jersey
Andy has tapped his years of experience as a working musician, as well as servicing and tweaking guitar and bass amps for many famous clients as diverse as Carlos Santana through jammers like Jimmy Herring, including jazz legends like Dave Stryker for over 40 years as inspiration for our new bass amps. Fuchs’ 20-year list of reviews and endorsers is truly impressive to say the least.
Perhaps best known for the ODS Classic, Andy’s take on the famed Dumble Amps. The Fuchs ODS-Classic represents Andy Fuchs’ goal to take over 15 years of design evolution and customer feedback on the original Overdrive Supreme platform into the next millennium.
Now Fuchs Amplification is taking the next step in the future of tube amps. With Andy’s new line of Hybrid guitar & bass amps, such as the ODH & FBT heads.
Fuchs Amps embodies many technical and circuit innovations from the past. Combined with hands on experience fixing the issues they developed over time. Andy’s sole goal is to provide a unique sonic experience that not only sounds great, but feels great and encourages you to play more!
We dispatch all of our orders from our shop in Auckland, NZ on a track and trace courier. Typically within New Zealand your order will arrive over night once dispatched. For delivery into Australia typically our standard service is 5-7 days once dispatched.
