Mane Custom Bass Standard 5 String is a 35 inch scale bass, active jazz bass that’s truly unique & certainly not another F brand copy.  Developed over several years, taking some of Kenney’s favored specs for his own custom builds. Is a 5 string bass made entirely with 5 string bass players in mind.

Made with an Alder body with a Maple neck & fingerboard. It has unique pickup spacing where the bridge pickup is closer to the bridge that standard 70’s spacing. With the neck pickup also taken closer to the neck. Giving you the option of soloing these for a thinner or fatter sound. Or combining together for a thicker, more monstrous tone.

Kenny D James is a fantastic bassist and he’s an advocate for his fellow player. That’s why he started Mane Custom Basses – to get quality instruments at affordable prices into their hands.
