Flame Roasted Tele Necks
In New Zealand we have some very humid and sometimes dry conditions. These fluctuations can cause movement in the neck, requiring some adjustment when weather conditions change. Roasting necks reduces the amount of moisture in the wood dramatically and for me (Brad) it’s a very practical solution to this problem. It also looks fantastic. Giving your Telecaster build project or your current Tele some bling and zing!
Wenge Tele Necks
Want to do something less traditional with your Tele? Wenge necks for electric guitar feel amazing in the hand, very similar in feel to Flame Roasted Maple due to it’s larger pores. More commonly used in Bass guitars, Wenge wood is often referred to as being brighter than Maple. So something to keep in mind when balancing what you have for your Tele body, pickups and wiring.
All our Wenge Telecaster Necks come with Abalone dots.

Notes:
We are unable to pre-drill the mounting holes into the back of the neck for you. This is because we cannot guarantee that the holes we drill will be a 100% match with those on your guitar body. We recommend that if you are not familiar with replacement neck installation that you contact a qualified luthier or repair shop. You can find a list of luthiers and guitar techs that we recommend in this link.
All guitar necks may require a final level, crown, and polish and may need to be fine-tuned to your instrument and playing preferences. Your new neck should be carefully inspected prior to installation and/or modification as necks cannot be returned once altered. Due to the organic nature of wood, each neck is considered unique and may have minor variations in grain or finish from those pictured. Tone Merchants neck heels are made to Fender® USA dimensions and tolerance.
Necks are all made to spec in China for Tone Merchants & are inspected here in Auckland before being listed. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Replacement Necks are only sold within New Zealand. These cannot be sold outside of NZ.

chris –
I have just built a Telecaster from parts using neck, body and pickups sold to me by Brad. All the parts were great value. The neck I purchased is roasted maple – satin finish – rosewood fingerboard. Radius is 9.5″ I believe. Frets are medium height and width. The satin finished neck is really comfortable and the figured maple (although subtle) is a nice touch giving it a classy touch. Brad was a pleasure to deal with. Buy with confidence.
